I am so sorry it's been so long! The internet situation has been absolutely horrible. I'll start off with the Cliffs of Moher. THEY WERE AWESOME. But it was raining. Of course. And my camera died. Of course. But everything is fine, I'm going to steal pictures from other people in my group (and give them proper credit, of course) We saw the actual rock that Dumbledore and Harry stood on (or, were superimposed on) in Half-Blood Prince!!!

Obviously it's hard to see, as it was practically pouring and very foggy, but in person it was really cool! Another friend of mine took a picture of me with the cliffs in the background, so i'll upload that as soon and she puts it up. The bus we took brought us all around the Galway Bay area, to a castle, and we stopped for lunch at a great pub where I had seafood chowder (again) and it was great (again). That night we all sort of hung out in our rooms, did our own thing. The weather during the day made us all so exhausted that we all went to bed early.

The next morning we all got up and had our last class in Galway. After class about 6 of us walked to Shop Street and got some lunch at Kellys, the place where I had my first beer of the trip. We spent most of the day walking around, in and out of stores, and then headed to a place called the Town House, where we ate outside because we couldn't find a place big enough to seat 14 people without a reservation. from there we began our pub crawl, which, once again, only lasted 2 places. We ended up at Quays (which is pronounced like 'Keys', btw) again, and we all had a really excellent time.

Danielle broke a glass. As you can see, she was pretty 'broken up' about it. Get it? Broken up?

The next morning we left bright and early for Athlone!! The bus left at 10 am, and I was ready to sleep the whole way there. I had on my comfy clothes, I put on my noise canceling headphones, and went straight to sleep. Unfortunately for me, we stopped about an hour later at Coole Park. I woke up and got off the bus, expecting a short visit, just time to stretch our legs. Apparently we decided to do a nature walk. And my camera was on the bus. It was a very nice park, but I didn't notice anything too special about it. It reminded me of Central Park, without the surrounding city. After that we all got on the bus, and I thought to myself, surely we won't be stopping anywhere else, I can go back to sleep. Oh, how wrong I was. about and hour and a half later, we were stopped at another place: the ruins of the Abbey at Clomacnoise. It was a somewhat interesting stop, not my favorite place, but I did get my first scenic pictures of the Irish countryside.

After that, we went to our hotel, the Prince of Whales hotel in Athlone. It was a very very nice hotel, I shared a room with Emma, another girl on the trip. Athlone is also home to Ireland's oldest pub, so naturally we went there. I only had one drink, but I wasn't feeling well from all of the bus traveling that day, so we went back to the hotel and just chilled in someones room that night. I think that is where this blog entry is going to end for now. The next morning was our travel to Dublin finally! Where we would have internet, and free breakfast, and a huge city as our playground (or so we thought). I hope this has satisfied everyone who is following me, and I can't wait to come home and tell you all about it in person!!!
